Archbold Community Library is hosting its first "Make & Take" program for adults on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:30-8:30 pm. For $35, all participants will get their own 12 x 18 chalkboard with frame, and all the needed supplies to complete their own chalk couture creations. The best part? No experience or artistic skills are required; art is created through screens (think: stencils) with chalk paste and squeegees. It's all being taught by independent designer, Samantha Flip. Hi! My name is Sonya Huser and I'm excited to be joining the team at the Archbold Community Library as the new director! Despite the fact that my last name is pronounced "Hoosier," I am thrilled to move to Ohio to begin the next chapter in my career. I earned my Master of Library Science seven years ago from IU and for most of my professional career, I was a school librarian for the Muncie Community Schools in Muncie, IN. From the school library, I moved on to become a Youth Services Specialist for the Muncie Public Library.
