The Friends' Annual Book Sale

The Friends of the Archbold Community Library are hosting a book sale in the community room of the library during regular business hours.

What will we be selling? A little bit of everything! Kids' books and books for teens, as well as audiobooks and DVDs. We also have nonfiction and fiction for adults sorted into genres to make it easier for you to find what you love! We have westerns, mysteries, large print, religious fiction, and science fiction!

Prices? Free-will donation!

Paws to Read With a Registered Therapy Dog

Children in grades K-3 are invited to come to the library and read to Mia, the therapy dog!

Registration through the calendar is not possible, but you can visit or call the library at 419-446-2783 to sign up in advance. Each participant needs to register at the circulation desk for a 10 minute session; 11 sessions are available. 

Mia's next visit to the Library is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th from 10 am - noon. 

Registration is open for spring Lego Clubs!

Lego Club days and times have been added to the calendar. 

Grades K-2 meet the first Wednesday every month in January, February, March, and April from 3:30-4:30.

Grades 3-5 meet the third Wednesday every month in January, February, March, and April from 3:30-4:30.

Registration is required and capped at 12 kids per session. You DO need to register for each session your child will attend.

Registration will begin for story times (designed for 2 year olds with a caregiver present) and story hours (for 3-5 year olds not yet in kindergarten).

Registration began Tuesday, January 3rd at 9:30 am.

Pajama Party For Pals

On Tuesday, December 20th, children ages 3-8 are encouraged to bring one stuffed animal and blankie for a special party just for them! We'll sing songs, read stories, munch on teddy grahams, and tuck our little pal into bed at the library for the night with Ms. Martie. After the library lights go out, she will snap photos of the pals romping around the library getting into all types of mischief! Pick up your pal and photos Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 1pm-3pm. This program is ONLY For those that haven't attended one in the past.

Calling all local readers!

The Library is teaming up with local authors to present a new annual program: "Shop Small Saturday with Local Authors" so that they can share with the world what they love most: BOOKS!

Eleven local authors will get the chance to speak about their latest works, sell them to the public, and sign books for those who are interested. This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Archbold Community Library's Community Room.

There are two ways to participate in our Summer Reading Program.
