Dear patrons,
You may notice that some things have been moved around. Please excuse our setup while we make way for a brand new early literacy center in the library!
FAQ: What is an early literacy center?
Because students enter kindergarten varying greatly in their literacy needs and ability levels, the Library felt it was necessary to provide a physical area designated for specific learning purposes. The integration of early literacy centers can support improvement in language, social skills, and writing development, among other things. They do this by offering areas for students to talk, sing, read, write, and play. These activities help children learn the skills they need to master to be able to learn how to read.
We hope you understand that the library is going to look different for a little while as we move tables and couches, books and beanbags, to make way for construction of our early literacy center. Please let us know if you are having trouble finding anything. We're here to help.
Thank you for supporting the Library as we continue to grow with our community.
