At-Home Rapid COVID-19 Tests Available at the Library

The Archbold Community Library is now distributing at-home COVID-19 test kits. The tests are provided by the State of Ohio and are free to the public.

The tests are taken at-home, self-administered and can provide test results in as few as 15 minutes. The COVID-19 at-home nasal swab test has been authorized by the FDA under the Emergency Use Authorization for the detection of the proteins from SARS-CO-2 only and not for any other viruses.

The Summer Reading Program Reimagined

Nothing about 2020 is going how we had planned, and the annual Summer Reading Program is no exception. Though things are looking different at the library this summer, families and children of all ages can still count on having access to high quality activities throughout June in July in the form of virtual storytimes, STEAM grab-and-go bags, adventure kits available for checkout, and even a Storywalk at Ruihley Park.

How to manage your library account online:

Though patrons always have access to their accounts online, many are finding this more helpful than ever now that they can't come in to the building itself. Not only can you search the library catalog to see what is available here and now, but you can place your own holds and renew your own items.

The library catalog:

Here is a link to our online catalog. so you can see what we have here at the library.

How to Curbside!

The Archbold Community Library is still offering curbside service, though the building is open. We look forward to seeing you soon and hope that you'll take advantage of curbside service. We're here!

The Curbside Process:

Call the library M-F from 9-5 to place your holds or manage your account online, if you are able. Take a peek at our "New On Our Shelves" lists to see what has been added to the collection most recently.

The Library is reopen with some restrictions.

The building has been open to the public following the completion of our roofing project, since July 6. Hours have been expanded on twice since then and we now offer some browsing hours on Saturdays from 9:30 am -1:30 pm, as well as extended browsing hours three nights a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 'til 7:30 pm. Hours on Wednesdays and Fridays are 9:30 am-5:30 pm.

Some things are going to look different.
